StatTrak™ ★ Butterfly Knife | Fade
This is a custom-designed balisong, commonly known as a butterfly knife. The defining characteristic of this weapon is the fan-like opening of a freely pivoting blade, allowing rapid deployment or concealment. As a result, butterfly knives are outlawed in many countries. It has been painted by airbrushing transparent paints that fade together over a chrome base coat.

About ★ Butterfly Knife | Fade
★ Butterfly Knife | Fade is a Covert knife skin for the Butterfly Knife. It comes in Factory New and Minimal Wear (float 0.00 to 0.08), also as StatTrak™.
On Steam it drops from Operation Breakout Weapon Case. In the Operation Breakout Weapon Case you get it about 1 in 5,000 openings, at 12.37 coins per opening with the key.
On OPCASES 1 case has it. The best value is the 30% Knife case, 1 in 100 for 375.00 coins per opening: 1.6× better odds for your money than the Operation Breakout Weapon Case.
How we compare: "better odds per coin" puts the chance to get the skin (any wear, StatTrak™ or not) against the price of one opening, compared with the best official case. In other words, what it costs on average to unbox it (price ÷ chance) is that many times lower. Official odds follow Valve's published odds per rarity (Mil-Spec 79.92%, Restricted 15.98%, Classified 3.2%, Covert 0.64%, knives and gloves 0.26%), shared by the skins of that rarity in the case. Steam prices change, so the numbers are a guide and are updated daily.
